Meet Courtney
Licensed Professional Counselor • 20 Years in Mental Health • Telehealth Throughout Colorado
I earned my master’s degree in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and have worked in the mental health field for 20 years, including 15 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My experience spans residential treatment, schools, private practice, hospitals, and, most recently, a pediatrician’s office. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families through a wide range of life’s challenges.
A practical, compassionate approach
My approach to therapy is practical, compassionate, and individualized. I help clients better understand themselves, change unhelpful patterns, and develop self-compassion and trust.
Together, we build on your strengths, explore what’s holding you back, and create meaningful change that lasts beyond the therapy room.
Training & Approaches
The perspective parenthood brings
As valuable as my professional training has been, some of my greatest learning has come from being a wife and mother to two children.
Mothering has a way of revealing our deepest vulnerabilities, stretching us beyond what we thought we could handle, and inviting us to heal and grow alongside our children.
It has taught me to approach every parent and family with humility, compassion, and respect.
My goal is not to tell parents how to parent, but to help them better understand themselves and their children.
When parents feel seen and supported, it strengthens the entire family. I help parents deepen their understanding of their children’s needs and behavior, respond with greater confidence and intention, and build relationships rooted in connection and respect.
Beyond the office
Outside of work, I love being active and outdoors, especially trail running and CrossFit. When I’m not working or being an Uber driver for my kids, you can usually find me reading, cooking, or spending time with my family.
Faith can be part of therapy -
but it doesn’t have to be
My Christian faith shapes my values - compassion, humility, grace, hope, and respect for every person.
Faith can be incorporated naturally into our work for clients who want it. Otherwise, therapy remains grounded in evidence-based care and respect for your beliefs, values and goals.
Your do not need to share my faith to feel welcome here.
Finding the right therapist matters.
If you think we might be a good fit, I’d be happy to connect.
