Meet Courtney

I’m Courtney, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience supporting adults, parents, children and families.

I earned my master’s degree in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and have worked in the mental health field for 20 years, including 15 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

My experience spans residential treatment, schools, private practice, hospitals, and, most recently, a pediatrician’s office. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families through a wide range of life’s challenges.

My approach is practical, compassionate, and individualized. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment-Focused EMDR to help clients better understand themselves, change unhelpful patterns, and develop greater self-compassion and trust.

Together, we build on your strengths, explore what’s holding you back, and create meaningful change that lasts beyond the therapy room.

The perspective parenthood brings.

As valuable as my professional training has been, some of my greatest learning has come from being a wife and mother to two children.

Mothering has a way of revealing our deepest vulnerabilities, stretching us beyond what we thought we could handle, and inviting us to heal and grow alongside our children.

It has taught me to approach every parent and family with humility, compassion, and respect.

I am passionate about supporting parents through the complicated and deeply meaningful experience of raising children. My goal is not to tell parents how to parent, but to help them better understand themselves and their children, strengthen their relationships, and respond to challenges with greater confidence and intention.

Faith can be part of therapy - but it doesn’t have to be.

My Christian faith is an important part of my life and shapes many of the values I bring to my work, including compassion, humility, grace, hope, and a deep respect for the worth of each person. For clients who would like faith to be part of therapy, I am happy to incorporate it in a way that feels natural and meaningful to them. For clients who do not, therapy remains grounded in evidence-based care, respect for their beliefs and values, and their individual goals. You do not need to share my faith to feel welcome here.

Beyond the office

Outside of work, I love being active and outdoors, especially trail running and CrossFit. When I’m not working or being an Uber driver for my kids, you can usually find me reading, cooking, or spending time with my family.

Finding the right therapist matters.

If you think we might be a good fit, I’d be happy to connect.
